TAKE THE PLEDGE!
All across America, health care leaders, academics, non-profit leaders, and employers are proudly showing their support for the Food Dignity® Movement.
Hidden Hunger Pledge
America’s organizations, food banks, anti-hunger agencies, non-profits, health care institutions, schools, companies, leaders, students, and neighbors need to come together...
TO ERASE
… the stigma around hidden hunger.
TO AFFIRM
… that everyone has a right to culturally important, nutrient-rich food at all times with dignity.
TO BUST THROUGH
… barriers that make healthy food hard to access and eradicate the shame and stigma associated with food insecurity.
TO HELP BUILD
… a culture of food empathy, ensuring that people who need help are supported, honored, validated, and respected during difficult times.
TO WORK
… to build a world where all people can lead healthy, active lives.
As a member of the Food Dignity® Movement, by signing this pledge, I commit to Food Dignity® transformation within my sector by actively working to the best of my ability toward these goals:
Watch the Food Dignity® 101 presentation, and share it within my community or organization.
Understand the overlapping issues that prevent people from having access to culturally important, nutrient-rich foods.
Identify and work to unlearn biases and judgment I hold about food insecurity and poverty.
Develop and implement strategies to tackle hidden hunger in my immediate sphere of influence.
Build key strategic partnerships to amplify and sustain my work tackling hidden hunger.
Commit to advocating for anti-hunger and Food Dignity® work in my community.
All in!
