Training Structure

Our curriculum focuses on how food security intersects with your work and mission. Whether you are an anti-hunger professional, healthcare worker, non-profit leader, corporate executive, professor, student, or volunteer, each Food Dignity® course is designed to help you understand how we can work together to provide healthy, appropriate food for all.

Our courses include helpful resources, class assignments, peer learning, and networking opportunities.  Each component of the Institute can be done as pre-work before a group session, individually, or collectively in class. Our lessons follow a progressive structure, but materials can also be pulled and used on their own. Additionally, all participants have direct access to Clancy Harrison’s international keynote talks, webinars, short videos, podcasts, and more.

This Is For Your Organization If . . .

  • You want to understand the barriers faced by people with nutrition insecurity and what community resources are available to meet their basic needs
  • You want to train your nonprofit organization, business, healthcare system or individuals on how to implement dignified food security initiatives
  • You don’t know how to discuss food security during short hospital visits and medical appointments or what to do after a patient screens positively for food insecurity
  • You are an educator who wants to train future professionals in any industry about food security

"I can’t wait to use this in my class. I appreciate how this normalizes how people judge — it’s normal and natural. What’s not normal is what you do with that assumption. These modules SHOULD be used for professional development for chambers of commerce, local government, coalitions, high schools, colleges, and town or grown  relationships. I can think of so many groups and teams that need to have this information."
